About Us!

First off thank you for taking the time to visit our page if you are new here you'll see our website has had a complete Over-Hall!  It wasn't in the plans but we had complications and had to rebuild everything we took 2 years working on!   On the bright side, it gave me the opportunity to change some things I wanted to and just hadn't taken the time to do!     I will be adding more content and pages as I have time!    We are slowing down with the summer but it really just means another whole kind of busy!      My name is Melissa and my husband's name is Matt!  We have two boys that help us and keep us busy all at the same time! 

In 2020 we sold our herd of milking cows and decided to find another path.    We had dreams of finding a small little farm where we could still raise some animals for our boys and raise them similar to how my husband and I were both raised.      We found this beautiful little farm nestled in the country right smack dap in the middle of Cherry Valley and Sharon Springs!   We absolutely have been blessed.       We have lots of land for all of our animals and our dogs to enjoy and run and frolic in the fields and play fetch like the Goldens like to do!  The Akitas not so much. 😆

We have been breeding Goldens for several years and my family bred Goldens when I was a kid as well so it's just been in my blood.    We've always had at least one Golden!   I ventured off the Golden path in my early 20s and got my own dog with lots of research I decided to get an Akita!    I fell in love, my whole family fell in love!   She was the best, then my brother got an Akita!    So there we started with our love for the two breeds we raise and love today.       They have brought us so much joy and companionship, we love them all so much for their individual personalities!      Two great breeds and very different as well that have been an absolute amazing experience over the years to be able to offer our amazing genetics to other families who we have been blessed to be able to help bring home a new family member!
