About Our Pups!
I wanted to add this section just to help people understand the process of getting a puppy from Happy Trails Homestead!
We wanted to make this process a fun and simple process. As simple as possible.
This is supposed to be a fun and happy experience and that's just what we tend to make this experience for you!
We start by socializing all of our babies to as much as we possibly can in their 8 wks with us!
Toys, outside time if the weather permits, lots of cuddles and kisses. They go on at least one car ride to the vets. It's usually kind of stressful so it's not the greatest experience for them. So we encourage families to plan on having someone hold them on their trip home with their new family just for comfort and to show them the car isn't so bad if that is not possible it's not the end of the world. 🥰
When you get on our list for future or an already existing litter we do require a deposit! The deposit is 500 to hold your choosing place!
Our Golden Retrievers are 1800 All of our dogs are Registered with the American Kennel Association (AKC).
$1800 may seem a bit steep for some but I want to break down the cost of our puppies for anyone who doesn't understand the cost and care of raising well cared for, well bred along with the time and effort that goes into every one of our dogs and puppies daily. 🥰
*While raising puppies seems like a fun rewarding job and it definitely is a perk to be able to snuggle and kiss puppies, that's just a small portion of what we do!
* This allows me to stay home with our dogs and puppies to make sure they get the proper socialization required at while they are here. Making sure they stay clean and that the mommas are getting breaks and not kept in with their puppies all day even though for the first 1-2 wks we have to make them take time for themselves.
* I am at my dogs and puppies Beck and Call 24/7.
* Our puppies get lots of toys and treats to enjoy while they are with us! It is important to us that they feel loved every single moment of their lives which sets them up to become the perfect companions for the wonderful families we get to send them home with! ❤️
* When our puppies go home we pack a bag full of things to help them transition smoothly with their new families. Toys, their blanket, snacks/treats and a bag of food they are currently enjoying along with their vet records, health certificate and AKC registration forms.
*Our puppies will be microchipped before they go home.
*All of our puppies are seen by our vet before they go home to make sure they are healthy and thriving amd ready to go to their new families! They will receive their first set of shots and we deworm them 4× before they go home at 2,4,6 & 8 wks old.
* All of our dogs have yearly physicals and endless toys and a 40 acre farm to enjoy when we are outside together, they are not out in kennels.
* All of our Goldens are on Salmon oil which they receive on top of their food every day! We strongly encourage families to add these to their puppies feeding routine! So many benefits! Beautiful healthy coats, skin, their joints! They love it too!
These are just a handful of the cost and time we put into our dogs and I know for a fact everyone that has gotten a well rounded loved Golden from us can attest that they have been loved from the moment they are born! You can find me on Facebook where half of my friends are my puppy families! 🥰
We don't make you sign any crazy contracts. We get to know the families that our puppies are going to and know for absolute sure that when they leave here they will be loved and cared for just as much as we do.
