Summer Litters are here!

Lucy, Mei Mei and River all had their babies a little over a wk ago! Everyone is doing amazing! River has the most availability on her list with 3 girls and 6 boys being available for deposits.

Lucy has 1 boy available for deposit and Mei Mei has 1 boy available for a deposit.

River is a dark golden and her puppies will be dark like her and Copper (the father).

We also have a litter due with Bailey and Copper due July 2nd! For anyone wanting to wait for the end of summer but still have that perfect weather for potty training! They will be ready around Labor Day wkend!

We have open availability on her list as well for boys or girls.

Happy Trails Homestead

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website! I (Melissa) and my husband Matt established Happy Trails Homestead in 2020.

We have owned and raised Akitas and Goldens for almost 20 yrs! I grew up with Goldens and got my first Akita in my early 20s. We have owned both breeds ever since. They are polar opposite in personality! But they are both wonderful beautiful breeds and I'm so proud of my dogs. Being able to bring joy to families as we share our love of raising happy, healthy pups! It never gets old seeing the smile on people's faces the day they get to take their puppy home. It's a lot of work and time that goes into it but those special moments make it worth all the work. ❤️

Our Puppies!

Our puppies are so much fun, playing and socializing them as much as possible is our goal. To help them adjust to their new families we do our best to help them to experience as much as we can in a controlled environment that keeps them healthy and safe! They are loved and cuddled every day and it's Darren's absolute favorite "job"! 🥰

We breed for the best temperaments and health in all of our dogs. Our goal is to keep breeding the best genetics into our puppies and I believe we have been very successful in doing that over the last several years in our breeding program!
